Welcome to TOPS MN#407, Rochester

Below is our TOPS and KOPS Pledge that is said at the start of every meeting.

TOPS PLEDGE
I am an intelligent person.
I will control my emotions, not let my emotions control me.
Everytime I am tempted to use food to satisfy my frustrated desires, build up my injured ego or dull my senses
I will remember -- even though I over-eat in private my excess poundage is there for all the world to see how foolish I have
been.

KOPS PLEDGE
I am an intelligent person.
I have controlled my emotions and not let my emotions control me.
Everytime I am tempted to use food to satisfy my frustrated desires, build up my injured ego or dull my senses
I will remember -- that I am to be an example of what TOPS can do, as I Keep Off Pounds Sensibly.

Below are other Pledges that have been developed for TOPS Chapters

Optional Closing Pledge
I pledge myself to eat less food, although at times it may seem rude.
I pledge myself to just one plate, if I keep this pledge, I will lose weight.
And on my honour, I will try to say "NO", when the sweets go by.
And if at times it may seem slow, maybe it's because I didn't say "NO".
So I'll keep my Pledge, I know I'll win, and before too long I will be slim!

Never Quit Pledge
Today I promise I will not quit
I pledge that no matter how many ups and downs I pass through, I will continue on my journey.
I pledge to make a new start today, and forgive myself for my past, and to stop making excuses, and to stop blaming other
people or situations, I pledge to treat myself as I would my best friend, because that is who I am.
I pledge to stay in the race and to be a winner.

Daily Pledge
I am going to make this a wonderful day.
I can accomplish anything that I set out to do.
My health is important, so I'll continue to exercise and eat right to make the most of it.
Every day I get a little stronger, a little wiser and a little happier.
Success is not in never failing, but in rising each time you fall.
It is within my power to become a health, trim person.
I am doing this for me.
Excuses are not my style, I find ways to make things happen.
No matter what happened yesterday, today I begin all over again.
Time is on my side. Every hour that I practice healthy habits, I get closer to my goal.
The healthy person I am becoming is not a dream, but a vision of the future ... and I have the power to make it happen.
My body deserves respect.
Worthwhile things ... like my health ... require patience and work.
Even the slimmest K.O.P.S. started out as overweight T.O.P.S. members. What sets them apart is that they stuck with it.
All my goals are within reach if I care enough to work towards them.
